The Department of Microbiology of Dum Dum Motijheel College is one of the most relevant, dynamic and exciting disciplines in the biological sciences. The mission of this department is to train undergraduate students for careers in Microbiology - through excellence in teaching, research, and service. One of our main goals is to prepare students for leadership roles as Microbiologists in industry, government agencies, health related fields, environmental health, and university teaching & research. The discipline of Microbiology is diverse, and the job opportunities for Microbiologists are enormous.
