I completed my undergraduate studies and earned my M.A and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from University of Kalyani and secured first position in the Master of Arts Examination in Economics. Presently I am an Associate Professor of Economics, Dum Dum Motijheel college .I have served the institute for more than 23 years teaching both Honours and General courses of Economics. My area of interest is : Agriculture, Statistics and Development Economics. I was the Principal Investigator for a UGC-sponsored Minor Research Project entitled Functional literacy-an empirical investigation in North 24 Parganas of West Bengal. I also worked as co-investigator in two other Minor Research Projects along with my departmental colleagues.
