I am an Associate Professor of Economics, teaching Economics Honours and General classes for 26 years.I have completed M.Sc , M.Phil and Ph.D in Economics from the University of Calcutta. I worked as project assistant in the Indian Statistical Institute for three years. I have qualified NET (1992) and joined Dum Dum Motijheel College in 1999 . I acted as Principal Investigator of a UGC sponsored Minor Research Project entitled- ‘ A Study On the Physical Quality Of Life of People Of South 24 Paraganas District of West Bengal Over Time’.I Worked as co-investigator of other two UGC sponsored Minor Reseach Projects on literacy and gender discrimination .I Worked as convenor of Internal Complaint Committee , from 2016 – 2022,worked as convenor of Women Cell of Dum Dum Motijheel College from 2013 to 2022,worked as convenor of Examination Committee -2001, 2006, 2011,worked as convenor of Seminar Committee from 2006 to 2008 .At present working as convenor of Service Book Committee.
