"I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Dum Dum Motijheel College, Kolkata with over 35 years of teaching experience in both Honours and General courses. I completed my undergraduate studies at Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, and earned my M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Jadavpur University.
My research interest lies in areas such as gender discrimination, literacy, small scale industry. I served as the Principal Investigator for a UGC-sponsored Minor Research Project on gender discrimination. Additionally, I have worked as a Co-Investigator on multiple UGC-funded research projects on literacy ,physical quality of life of the people of south 24 parganas etc. in collaboration with my departmental colleagues.
